Me and my Ace 250

by Tim S.
(Kinston N.C.)

Well, I have had an Ace 250 (my first detector) for about a year and a half now. I have not made any really great finds as of yet. I did find a badly corroded 1916 wheat cent at an old school yard and a very nice sterling silver necklace with two silver charms and a large sterling men’s wedding bad on it. I have also managed to clean up all the metallic trash from the local school play grounds while digging up $107.63 since I got my detector.

Time, or the lack of it, is the biggest reason I have not been more successful. I have located some sites to detect that have a lot of potential, now all I need is the time to get out to them. I love swinging my Ace even if I do not find anything. I find that the whole act of detecting to be therapeutic after a long work week.

Happy hunting,
Tim S.

Ace 250 Started My Journey
by: Frank Pandozzi

Tim, more than thirty years ago I purchased my first detector, it was the Freedom Ace 250. I knew nothing about the hobby at that time. Since then the hobby, and many different detectors later I have morphed into a treasure hunting junkie. That first detector has led me toward journey's I would have never imagined. Stay with the hobby, you'll get discouraged at times, but like anything in life, the more you learn, the better and more rewarding your finds will be.

Keep us posted with what your finding.

Thanks
Frank
