1789 George Washington Inaugural Button

by Marc Wilson
(Shepherdstown Wv)

Was hunting in a friends backyard outside of Halltown Wv, mostly trash and iron until i came accross this rare find, had no idea what it was at first, lightly cleaned it in the field but it was not until i got home and really did research that i realized what i had...As it turns out this is a 1789 George Washington inaugural Button, in excellent shape for its age, the mount on the back is bent over but still intact, apparently there are less than 10 of these around..
